Congressional Republicans want a $1 trillion defense budget, but the Pentagon has failed every audit since 2018 and cannot account for billions. America needs strategic discipline, not just bigger budgets, to deter China and Russia without bankrupting the republic.

Congressional pork and legacy lobbying keep forcing weapons systems into budgets that the military never asked for. These add-ons bloat the defense budget, crowd out readiness, and add billions to a national debt that already consumes more tax revenue than Pentagon appropriation.

Federal spending is not a shortage of revenue problem. It is an honesty problem, built on duplicate programs, failed audits, and billions in improper payments that lawmakers refuse to fix.
