Deficit

Washington spent $6.75 trillion in fiscal 2024 while borrowing $1.8 trillion, and the result is a bureaucracy that grows faster than the economy it supposedly serves.

The Congressional Budget Office projects deficits exceeding $2 trillion for fiscal year 2026, with interest payments on the national debt consuming nearly 20 cents of every federal dollar. That is not a revenue problem. It is a spending addiction.
